About Tartine

Tartine opened on a cold January day of 2016 at its first, warm and cozy place in the heart of Prishtina. Conceptualized by a lawyer and an architect, Adelina and Gresa, Tartine brought a novel approach to culinary trade in Kosovo by adding personal commitment and attentive service to even the simplest meal prepared. Everything at Tartine is made of fresh and local produce; tartine twists, original quiches, delicious tarts, etc. have made our menu and premise an iconic experience to savor.

At any given time there are between 8-12 women working at the kitchen and restaurant to provide you with the best food experience possible. Tartine’s decision to employ all female staff was not only a commentary on the current state of social affairs in Kosovo, but also a genuine attempt to empower women and give them the opportunity to stand firm in their struggle for gender equality.
